I bought this pattern awhile and just never got round to making any as it was too cold. Its the sailor shorts by Peek-a-boo pattern shop. Now the weather is warming up here in Australia its becoming very much shorts weather, only problem was Little Miss E had no shorts that fit her properly. That meant I just HAD to make her some shorts for summer. I made them using a grey/blue chambray and the pocket lining and buttons is Sherbet pips by Aneela Hoey for Moda. I love that they add a bit of a fun touch to the otherwise plain shorts. I only added two buttons instead of the six it was meant to have as I only had 2 on hand but liked the look anyway. I find there patterns run a bit small so I tend to go up a size.
I love love love how they turned out and have already made another pair, just need to add the buttons and they will be done. I'll show you them when they are finished as well.
And we'll finish with a cheeky grin from the girl!

Those are so sweet! I love the detail!
